I know a lot of people don’t care for Behringer stuff but this overdrive pedal sounds pretty damn good. It’s the TO800 which I’m assuming os some kind of a tube screamer clone. Check out this video demo on youtube. The guy playing is pretty good which helps when demoing a piece of gear (no it’s not me). In another video he demos a Behringer BO100 blues overdrive pedal and he says he’s playing through a Peavey bandit. The whole rig sounds pretty sweet.

This Elvira guitar was on Ebay at the end of January and sold for $456. I have a feeling the owner saw the selling price of the previous elvira guitar on ebay.

I think this one was a better deal since it included the coffin case.

Musicians Friend Upcoming Stupid Deal of the day for 2/28 is going to be the Washburn PS80 Paul Stanley Signature Guitar. As of today the price is $149. Will the SDOTD price be $100 ? Luckily there aren’t any airbrushed pics of Paul on the guitar because frankly this looks like a pretty nice guitar for the price. It has a Mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard. The body is “Select wood body”. Is is Agathis ? Paul always seemed to prefer darker sounding woods for his guitars.

We’ll see what the price is tomorrow.

I’n not really sure who Gukthrie Govan is but he as a complete command on improvising and has a fantastic tone.

Musicians friend has the Fender 60s Reverse Headstock Strat as the Stupid Deal Of The day for $399

It’s kind of cool since they reverse the location of the whammy bar so it’s on the bottom. I’m not crazy about the reverse slant of the bridge pickup. or the vintage frets.

Otherwise it’s a very cool strat at a great price of $399.

For years I have had the BC Rich Warlock Elvira guitar on my Ebay watch list. One finally showed up at the end of last year. The price went to over $200 pretty quickly. The final selling price was $456. A little rich for my blood so close to Christmas.

It seems some rare studio tapes of Metallica have been revealed. The tapes are from the “And Justice For All” Sessions. Below is some footage of the song “One”. Producer Flemming Rasmussen explains that “Not many people get the hear the rough tracks. These tracks really showcase what a good producer can do.” Rasmussen continued, “most people think all producers can do is add some reverb and eq. We also have quantizing and pitch correction at our disposal. We’re like a fifth member of the band”.

I was poking around the Neil Schon web site. I notice a picture in the gallery of Neil Schon playing what looks to be a Korg GT6. It looks like he was playing the Star Spangled Banner at a baseball game.

Mr. Wells Cunningham nails this version of Spanish Fly By Van Halen. Unbelievable !
